Giotto

At my dinner party there would be Giotto.
I was lucky enough to visit the Arena Chapel in Padua, Italy and really feel the man.

When painting this series I came to realise that those I admired so much were difficult to find photos of their person. It was about their work, their dedication to the truth that was to be found. This warmed my heart.

Munch

At my dinner party there would be Edvard Munch.
Munch was the first in the series to appear. Though levitating.
The final thrust into creating this series was visiting the Baselitz show at the Royal Academy.

Munch has been the most constant influence in my Art.

Emil Nolde

At my dinner party there would be Emile Nolde. The strength of a human and conviction for his Art. Again following the Baselitz exhibition I was reminded of my vision of the last supper and realised I could do it in the way I was inspired.

Henry Darger

At my dinner party there would be Henry Darger.
He was one of the biggest influences on me during my masters.
He sits masturbating, as he was placed in a psychiatric hospital for masturbation as a child. He choose to appear to me in this way. I felt great sadness when capturing him.
